This women’s Ultimate Frisbee pick-up tournament was around since before I began playing in 2008. It’s back in the same great location as last year in Clontarf, Dublin 3. Teams are made by (fairly) allocating players to different teams, each with their own designated colour.

What? Indoor Ultimate Frisbee hat tournament, 5 aside
Who? ALL female matching players, ALL levels of experience! It is a fantastic learning environment. There is no pressure on results and each team will have a couple of very experienced players to help others along.
What is a hat tournament? It is a day of games where you sign up as an individual and get placed on a team of random players. Players are divided up based on experience levels to aim for evenly matched teams.
What is Ultimate Frisbee? Far better than showing with words, here is a the end of a thrilling women’s final at the European Indoor Championships in 2024 (although we’ll be playing on a smaller court):
Cost: Thanks to a big subsidy from Dublin Gravity women’s club, all students can have free entry. For everyone else, it’s a mere €5.

Christmas is around the corner so feel free to accessorize accordingly! At the end of the day there’ll be prizes for the winners, a Rose from each team, Rose of the Tournament and Thorniest Rose of the Tournament.
